Learning the Romanian language

Learning the Romanian language effectively, requires that you make decisions as to your purpose for learning the language, and also how much time you can realistically spend.

Do you want to learn a few Romanian words and phrases before a holiday?

Do you have Romanian friends who you want to chat to?

Are you learning Romanian for business purposes?

Do you want to invest in Romania?

Do you have a specific purpose for learning the Romanian language?

And so on. The answers to these questions can help you start learning the language.

For instance, if you are need to learn Romanian for business purposes or social purposes, but don't have much time, then it will be helpful to learn words and phrases that you are likely to need. Aiming for a high level of language ability is very time-consuming.

Whatever your reason for learning Romanian, you have to start somewhere, and there are many basic words that you will always have to learn regardless of your eventual aim. Many of these basic words can be found on this site and in our Romanian language software .

If you want or need to learn more than words and phrases, you will need to find a course or courses which allowing you to progress further.
